Maui

A Maui first for these three!
I was a little nervous that they were not
old enough to appreciate a trip to Hawaii. What was I thinking? It was our best family trip yet
(I think their ages helped).

Tate slept in the monkey position! So comfy.

Our little beach bums!

Isn't it so fun to go on a beach vacation prego?
Love it.

Grandpa George and Grandma Gaye joined
us for their first Hawaii experience too!

Em was in Heaven...She calls Grandma her "Besty"!

This was how Tate looked every night at dinner...wiped out.

Grandparents Rule

I always get sad to say goodbye.
I wasn't sure how it would be to have Linda and my Dad stay with us the
same weekend but their both so easy. It meant a lot
to me and Trent to have them here...the kids were loving it too!

We tried out a new pizza joint.
Tate threw a googly eye he was so happy.

Syd's baptism request was frozen yogurt the girl
LOVES it!
It was so cold outside, I'm pretty sure we were the only guests.

Waffles are a must if Grandpa George is visiting!

Our backyard backs up to a "protected area" (very Washington for you).
The kids love it, Tate wanted to show Grandpa George.

That's a back shot of our house, doesn't that look like
the perfect tire swing tree?

Blue skies...rare.

Syd requested a chocolate chip cake from Grandma Linda.
We know how to take advantage of all the good things
Grandparents have to offer!

Syd's Day

Sydney was baptized and confirmed a member of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
on
April 13, 2013
I love this girl!
I can't believe we have an eight year old.
We are so grateful for the love and support we feel even with our families
a couple states away.  Sydney is our girl that was born with a desire to choose the right.
I am so happy that she is our first, we could not have a better example in our home than Syd.

 We love the Owens!
Sydney's primary teachers and our new Washington friends.

Grandpa Geo

As if my week could not get any better!
Grandpa George came at the last minute for
Syd's baptism.

I didn't tell the kids, this was Tate's face when I pulled
in with Grandpa George!

The hardest part about living away is not having family
close by for major life events (births, birthdays, holidays, special occasions like blessings and
baptisms) Darn! I am so grateful that Linda (Trent's mom) and my Dad could make it!

We went strait out to Whidby Island since we had so much fun there with the Smarts,
unfortunately the weather was not as nice.  No pictures of Linda because she did not
want to get out of the warm car...I don't really blame her. BRRR.
