Naughty or Nice?

I am not sure if it is the excitement that this time of year brings or being locked indoors from the chilly weather but about right now our little pack of lovelies are being more naughty than nice. Especially our oldest, recently, she has been the instigator of trouble. This morning she was taunting Tate within minutes of waking her pretty self up. After repeatedly telling her that we were going to talk with Santa about bringing her any gifts, she finally managed to push Trent right over the edge. This is how it rolled out:

Trent: "Sydney, Santa is only going to bring you a lump of coal (and to add a little more salt to the wound) AND you will not even be able to play with it."

Sydney: "No uh uh, I can play hopscotch with it!"

Okay, well, I love her positive out look on life. It kind of makes me wonder if I should just throw a couple of sticks and stones under the tree and call it good.

Fall in Ohio

One of my favorite things about Ohio is the Fall Season. The grass stays so beautiful and green and the leaves turn the vibrant colors of red, yellow and orange. We have had a fun filled couple of months. Hope you enjoy!

Turner Farm

Turner Farm is a working farm, the kids got to pull turnips, feed the sheep and pigs. The high light of the day was riding around the property in a horse drawn wagon and picking out our pumpkins.

Halloween

Tate was a little frog, Emmy a fat little chicken and Syd was a fairy.

(This is not a Halloween picture...but, it scared me)
Daddy daughter Pumpkin Carving Night

Blooms and Berries
Preschool trip
Sydney is always about finding the smallest pumpkin possible.
Check this red neck slide out....
Blooms and Berries had all sorts of cute little activities for the kids. They also had this random out house setup (I am not sure what this has do do with Halloween but it is kind of funny.) I noticed that some of the preschoolers moms were giggling at the outhouse but no one seemed to be letting their little kids venture too near.
I am not sure I will make "Preschool Mom Coolness" for this BUT it did make Sydney very happy.

Rainbow

Syd's first day as a "Rainbow"; She has been loving preschool this year, a nice change from last year. When I would pick her up last year, I would say: "How was school today, did you like it?"
Syd: " No, Not Weally!" So we will keep are fingers crossed that she stays enthusiastic.

Which leaves me with these two:

He went straight for Syd's sparkly shoes.
Emmy followed me around, probably wondering where her entertainment/protector from Tate
disappeared to.
I never realized what a great help Sydney is until preschool started. For the most part she plays really cute with Tate and keeps him occupied. Sydney loves, loves, loves her Emmy and is always willing to keep her happy. Good Luck Rainbow!

Fall Catch Up

This little Man is the reason I got a quick pass to "The Utah"! Henry George Farley, he is a cute one and even though it was a very fast trip, I was able to spend some great quality time with my family. Trent was awesome and took care of the kids solo, not an easy feat! Thanks for the fun weekend.

Sundance Ski lift with the Farleys

Cassie (Henrys Mom), Kind of surprised she did not want to just take a dive off the lift with all of the sleep deprivation that comes with a new baby. She is a cute mom and has more energy then normal people.
This is my nephew Tommy, he is a bit of a wimp when it comes to heights but he has an appreciation for potty talk, (you know things like....toot and bum) therefore I will continue hanging out with him.
The Brotha's and Sista's!

UNO

Our Emmy turned one September 10, and drum roll please......
I AM NOT PREGNANT! We did manage a small celebration in her honor, which consisted of our friends the Rustads coming over to sing and watch Emmy rip into her oversized cupcake. My favorite part was watching Trent try to contain himself while Emmy worked the cupcake over. It's probably good that one of us is concerned with the sugar intake and cupcake remains from head to toe. We got Emmy a couple of gifts opened via Sydney and Tate. Emmy's favorite gift is a little glowworm that sings, she immediately goes into "mothering mode" and rocks it night- night.

Rustads

This next picture pretty much sums up Emmy's gift opening.....

Emmy, has definitely been our rock star baby,
she has made the chaos of having three little ones
that are close in age a joy.

A few things that we love about Emmy;

1. She can hang with any program
2. She loves her Sydney
3. Our good eat'n gal
4. Tubby time lover
5. Happy, happy, happy and has the most
peaceful disposition

Sum-Sum-Summer Time

This may be one of my favorite Summer days that I have had in Ohio! I can not remember laughing this hard in a long time. Our friends the Ellis's' hooked us up with a boat outing, we had such a good time. Sydney, had a smile for four hours straight.

Syd and the Smarts chill'n tube style.

Tate finely attempted the water after much coaxing.

The Emmy girl never made a peep, then again... maybe she couldn't.

The Daddy and Em...

This guy has the best stories ever and I am pretty sure he makes my Top Ten Funniest people list. Not to mention he is always nice to our Tate.

This is his "Hot Fox", and I love her because she always keeps it REAL! She also has some crazy good tunes that she keeps on board. Most importantly, she can hang with my sassy mouth out on the tube.
Thanks for the great boating day!

We knew that we had a successful day when the kids asked us to take them to bed at 7:00 pm.

What's your Pleasure?

Two of Syd's simple pleasures in life are....Chocolate & her Swimsuit.

Sometimes I wonder if I should put a whole stop to the "swim wear every day routine" and then I think why? Syd was in such a sweet state of bliss, that I honestly debated on throwing my bathing suit on and joining her for what was left of the chocolate cake batter. (Okay, I was kind of kidding, I really don't fantasize about eating chocolate cake batter in my swim suit..... or at least not often.)

Miss Potato Head

I know, sometimes these kind of pictures may not be the most flattering. Emmy is so sweet even when she is not so "delicate" at consuming her mashed potatoes. I am glad you loved your tater's Emmy.

X-Treme Sports

I just found out that preschool does not start until mid September! I have to wonder what the next few weeks of our long Summer will bring?Originally when I went out to check on my little adrenaline monkey, she was riding the skate board on her belly, I convinced her that she might scare the kids at preschool if she didn't have a face.

When they got bored with skiing behind the power wheel. They took on their next event; Sledding down concrete, with wheels of course!

Oh, and I won "Mom of the Year" because I am such a believer in helmets!

1,700 Miles

1,700 miles-need I say more?
For a total car time of 29 hours. Our kids were rock star travelers, with that said, I do not blame them if they scream, bite or kick the next time I try to buckle them into "the minnie" for a road trip! This of course, is a lengthy post but it is my shout out to UTAH. My sister in-law, who understands what it is like to live out of bags for weeks, told me that by next year I would be ready to come back and do it all again. She is right, though some parts of our trip were a little rough with the crew, I am all ready looking forward to our Summer 2010 vacay.

Surprise! Happy (belated) Birthday Utah Style, Trent concocted a surprise party for me from afar.
Trent had been planning this little shin dig for a few weeks. I love him for the thought, but in all fairness this cute little Momma had to pull it all together to make it happen. Thanks Mom-ba!

The much awaited for Bosch- Hey my cooking gals, do you remember our conversation before I left for Utah? The Trentster came through!

3.5 HOURS REMAINING
I love that I could tell my kids "only 20 hours left" and they would cheer. It is a beautiful thing when they do not know the difference between 1 and 29!

Every one has asked us how we ever survived our drive a cross the country with three little ones? Our secret to successes.... You cry, you get candy.
