40 AND a Father

My Sweet Dude turned 40!
I couldn't bring myself to do an "over the hill party" because it seems like
he has just started the climb!
I totally love this guy, I would follow him anywhere. I poured it on pretty thick at
his party so I will spare the blog some mushy, mushy for now.
We invited about twenty friends, to make it that much better my good buddy Shannon called and said
"bring your party to the lake!"
Twist my arm Shannon! We are in.  We have made some good friends fast here.
I did a cake for every decade, I would consider this "epic" cake worthy.
I did not take very many good pics...just imagine a good time, with lots of good friends!

Jenny...thanks for the rogaine!
Photo: Beautiful view for a friends birthday party. The best part was the helicopter that landed at the neighbors house. Woah...we aren't in Kansas anymore!
The Beatty Pad
This is my friend Shannon! I love her. I did not
snap one of her at the party. I have a feeling that
we will be buddies for ever.
Me and the love had a special birthday dinner the night before.
With a special donut dessert  to end our night!

Yes, here you go! One of me in my glory.  Breakfast for our
40 year old/Fathers day celebration.

Trent, is an awesome DAD! I love that he makes these three his priority.
He is so good at making time for each of them at the end of his busy days.
One thing for sure, is that these monkeys know that their daddy loves them!

We LOVE you Daddy Doo!

Swimming & School is OUT!

I found a swim teacher that has the reputation of being
"The Swim Nazi"ps I did not make that up....I knew with a name like that my kids
were going to have to give her a try. As gruff as she is with the kids,
she provides me serious entertainment, when I feel bad about having a broken
filter I will just compare myself to her to give myself a boost.  The lady is a hoot,
my kids have never learned so much from any other coach. Best of all we just finished our lessons and
my kids are still smiling.
THANK YOU MISS KATHY!

The Swim Nazi in action!
She has a special connection with Em,
go figure that these two would be pals.

It's official people. Tate has graduated from kindergarten!
He also received the "funniest person" award in his class.
Yes, it does make us nervous and proud all at the same time.
Miss Blake

School is officially out, whew! June 18th. That was one long school year. The neighbor moms put on one fun spread for the kiddies.

What a Dude.

Ben and Tate
We kicked the Summer off right with a trip to our local pizza joint.
Boom kiddies!
Get ready to play hard all Summer long because life
is about to  change at our house with your new little sissy coming :)

JUNE-ER

This is some random June love!
Would you believe my kids are still in school? Seems wrong...way wrong.
The lake is our kids favorite activity right now...after school they are bee-lining for the back yard
or jumping on their bikes for a ride around the hood. We finally moved to a neighborhood that has
a lot of play mates! SWEET.

Tate's high light of the day is getting on the school bus!
Me and Em have got some great quality time walks in!
The high light of her day is when we pass a dead rodent.
(she LOVES getting up close and looking at all of it's
disgusting glory mushed all over the road).  Gives us something to talk about for sure.

While we are on the subject of little honey, I'll share a few topics about this girl...She is WAY into dresses, snitching pound cake or anything else that resembles sugar. And the girl is still crazy about doggies. Thank goodness for our friends Bob and Jenny who will share their doggie "snoop" with us. This is Bob and Jenny, they are as cool as they look! We have now followed them four moves..Idaho, Ohio, Philippines and Washington.(They should probably be a little worn out by the Savage's by now)

Bob teaching Snoop some tricks!

Wrapping up the school year with school singing productions!

Em played as one of the "lost boys"  in Peter Pan.  Nothing
one of Trent's church shirts couldn't handle....She looks totally lost right?

Okay...June is here folks. My favorite month of the year, so school or not
the Savages are going to live it up!
