Wagon Ride

Em and Hen-Fish lake Wagon Ride
This is how our walk started; Wagon, treats, blankies...
Tate with his very heavy back pack and walking stick. (this concerned my
slightly because I knew I would be schlepping his "goods" pretty soon.)
That's what Moms do right?

It was not too longer after we started our nature hike that
this little dilemma happened....
Cassie is one cool Auntie, we lost a nut or a screw (maybe both)
off of the wagon.  These are the kind of things that happen
when the boys go fish'n.

Thank goodness, Hap came to the rescue.

Wagon intact, we made it down to the lake
and these guys loved it....

On the way back Emmy had meltdown, refused to walk
and laid herself down in the middle of the road...
Rad.

Aunt Cassie saved the day...again, and packed three toddlers up a really
steep hill.
WE LOVE YOU AUNT CASSIE!

The Sacrifices We Make...

Fish Lake....
I know, you hear about this place all the time but it is part of who we are,
maybe more, who Trent is AND since he loves it, we love it (most the time.)

The kids always start off great.

But usually by the 30 to 40 minute time frame things go south real quick.
From there it is just pure chaos out in the middle of the lake. Tate and Em start standing
up in the bow have pushing contests, Syd starts longing for the cabin (mostly because she is bored).
Or she starts conversations with the fellow fishing boats, with her really friendly megaphone volume turned up nice and loud.
And through it all,
we happily put up with the wind, the fighting, the whining, the teasing, the smashed faces against windows...
just to make our fish crazed loving Daddy happy AND it is usually well worth the work!
I was happy when Cassie, Ryan and her kids pulled up
to appease the fish hunter. I love how Fish Lake makes this guy so happy.

Mountain Air

Living away for the past few years, I forgot how nice it is to live by beautiful mountains, (Trent never forgot).  Drives up American Fork Canyon have been our "apartment fever" get away. Their is
something about the mountains that has a calming effect on the soul.
It even seems to work with these three.

Cascade Springs. A.F. Canyon
Now that we are finally in our home, I hope that we can still
take time from the chaos that moving in typically brings, to
get a healthy dose of mountain air.

The Emmy

This one lives up to every spiky hair on her little blond head
AND
we love her.
Emmy turned three September 10th, since she is a puppy lover these days
we through her a PUPPY PARTY! (minus the puppy)
This is the dog that she handed back to me and said "no thanks!"
Man, I thought for sure she would love it.

Em is in love with my Moms little puppy, Tootsie. She squeezes
it almost to death, every time we stop for a visit.  The picture
is of a time that she packed Tootsie around on the inside of her shirt.
(Trent loves that of course :)

The best game was having the kids do their
best bark, whimper and howl. They all took it
very serious.

Another fun game was we hid Barqs root beer around
the yard and the kids had to find their best "bark".
Puppy pinata was a thriller too!
I love that Trent is always up for a good party....
And Em is definitely her Daddy's girl!

Emmy truly emulates ENERGY!
Sometimes we can barely keep up with this one, we are so
happy she is a part of our family and for the things she teaches us.
Happy Third Birthday- Wild Child.

SAVAGE UPDATE!

Just letting you all know that I am officially blogging from my own computer!
Yes, I am surrounded by boxes, packing paper and bubble wrap but
it feels so good to sit down to our personal computer.
Going with out a computer for a couple of months
has really made me look forward  and appreciate this moment.
I should also let you know, that after many made offers,
three "just kidding" home purchases and toying with the idea of a double wide down
by the lake, we have found a home in Lindon.
And even though right now it is completely upside down, I think it
will work for us. I would post a picture but I am not sure we have one and
if I did, I am sure it would take me a few hours to locate my camera....I love moving in day.
Thanks to all who were so good to help us.
