Yee-Haw!

Grandma Linda and Aunt Diane did a quick drive by
yesterday, I could not believe it when Linda Loo
said she wanted to take a ride on "Pinoy", our Filipino rocking horse.
I said, "Hope on, but I HAVE to get a picture of this."
I have heard the horse riding stories of Grandpa Walker and even a few about
Grandma Linda herself.
What a cute cowgirl!

I wish I could have talked
Aunt Diane into giving it a whirl....
Maybe next time.

The Anne

This is Anne,
one of our all time favorite babysitters (the Ohio days).
And good news for the Savage kiddies,
Anne does not live too far away.
I know, Anne is kind of beyond babysitting...so
we settled by having her for dinner instead.
Anne, thanks for helping us out in binds,
We ALL love you!

The Feast

It is so nice to be home and enjoy a long,
past due Thanksgiving with the fam. Cassie and Ryan were kind
enough to host and put on a killer good spread.
I am totally missing Mac and Angie from the couples pics.
I must have been focused on the food...dang, I hate that.

The love...
Em's Love...
The Simonator pounded his oreo turkey down like it
was nothing...

My Sista..
And Beth even got a chance to practice some driving
with Grandpa George.
She is so dang cute, I don't think people
would even care if she ran them right off the road!
Happy T-Day!

Eat Like a Pilgrim

Thanksgiving Point had an evening, "Eat Like a Pilgrim."
We had the pleasure of joining with Grandma Linda and
our "California cousins" and enjoyed a real FEAST.  Our
dinner was great, I laughed the whole time because they did
not give you a fork to eat with (as to provide some authenticity) for me, sheer entertainment.

Cutest savage ever.
This is our Pilgrim-cowboy :)

They had sample tables of what the Pilgrims would have
had for their first Thanksgiving.
Eel, oysters, dried bread
(wait a minute did we pay good money for this?)
I think Lisa is cool because she sampled the
goat milk...
and corn nuts.

 What life was like for
the Pilgrims.

When a child turned 5 years old,
it was time to "cut the
apron strings".

I asked Linda and Trent to appease me and
let me get a picture of them with apron strings...
they did not think it was funny as I did.
Thanks Grandma Linda Loo!

How do I get one these?

Tug O' war...
A fantastic way to kick off our week of Thanksgiving.
We would totally recommend this family activity.
Thanks Tommy and Sophie!

First Snow Fall!

The kids have been talking about playing in the snow, since we moved to Utah.
They were so darn happy when we got our first snow fall a couple of weeks ago.
I am not sure if Em has ever really seen snow. It was so fun to feel
their excitement and remember what it was like for me when the first snow hit.
I was never a fan of digging through the winter box for a mish mosh of warmth that
seldom matched, I am sure I looked like the eclectic snow child.
But honestly, me and my sibling had so much fun, and I am sure I ate
enough dirty snow to last a lifetime.
So, to you my babies, I say:
Go freeze your cute little fingers and toes,
stress when it is time to go potty,
and eat all the dirty snow you want!

Time to lose the Filipino flip flop look!

The Simple Life

I should say, "Simple Pleasures!"
The cold weather
and life with out a live-in babysitter has driven me to blog
about the simple things in life.

Like, Trent and the girls jammed at the table
(so they can both share Daddy:)
 Or Em's morning hair-do...

Or
this little man playing cowboy...
Minus the cowboy hat that fell victim during our last move.
(He had to settle for a pleather black cap from the girls dress ups).
I am glad I have these clowns to keep life entertaining.
It is the little things that happen through out the day
that make me smile big at the end of the night.

The Do

After several months of nothing but a few stray hairs on her
pretty little head...we finally have some growth.
AND, she is even letting me attempt hair- do's!

Sunday dinner with a few more Savages....
Ty and Jen crew
This month I am really, REALLY grateful for family!
I don't know if we have ever been able to
enjoy the company of family for dinner in our own home.

It feels so good!

Sweetly Sleeps

This NEVER, EVER happens...
Our kids have always quit napping at an early age.
This girl is amazing, she is constantly on the go and
seldom shows signs of being tired. I loved that she
found a little place in the middle of the floor to give it
up for a while. Sweet dreams Em.

We have Yardage!

"Yardage" is my fancy way of saying,
we finally have our yard!

Before

After

The best part of this whole process was watching Tate!
He loved every minute, he would
be outside  by 7:15 a.m. come in for a quick
bite and head back out for more tractor time.
Talk about easy entertainment.
