Canyon Kick Off

If their is something I LOVE about the T-Man it is his passion
for the mountains. The Utah mountains where one of the positive factors
when we where deciding to move back home.
We had our first weenie roast of the season, many more to come.
Emmy did join us, she has a hard time holding still long enough for a photo.

One, Super Exciting, Spring Break

Maybe I need to stop comparing everything we do to, "last year at this time."
Because who say's Hogle Zoo doesn't rock? Daddy had
to work hard but it did not keep us from ripping up Utah~
spring break style.

The Zoo-Zee-Zoo.

Two thumbs up to any place that
can make all three kiddies crash. Never mind the arthritic camel
and bald eagle with one wing, at the end of the day it still made for some good cousin time!

Tate spent some time making a Mario mustache and
then asked me to tape it to his face. I love his brain.

My Dad (Grandpa George)
had all the grand kids come over for one of his super breakfast
bashes. I LOVE when he sends text with breakfast invites,
so do the kids!

I'm sure one of the highlights to Emmy's week was getting her molluscum removed
(like tiny warts). Don't ever question if I know how to get a spring break party going!
Actually, it totally broke my heart, I will try to not make this a tradition.

One of the days, the kids dawned there best looking clothes and we
headed for the Thanksgiving Point, Dino Museum.
It was a first for us and a super good time.

Digging for dino bones....

We had a night out at PF Changs, Syd tried to prove
her chopstick skills.

And Emmy slayed it....I am totally feeling my
Asian pride right now. She ate her whole meal with chopsticks
I think it is the quietest she has ever sat threw any meal.
Maybe it was the little "pearl in the ear incident" before
dinner.  Emmy found a single pearl on the lobby floor and
with in a few seconds of finding what she called "her precious pearl" she
jammed the beauty in her right ear lobe.  She started shaking her head back and
forth and I knew that the people of PF Chang were about to get a Savage show down.
Luckily, Trent was able to needle it out with a toothpick...Wow, we must of looked real cool.
So, rather it was the chopsticks or her precious pearl we had a great meal. And an overall
entertaining spring break.

Easter with FAMILY

Look at these Easter cuties!
It makes me so grateful that we have each of them in our life.
I can honestly report... that this has been a rough month for the Savage family. I usually like
to keep my blog on the lighter side of life, a little humor and bliss. But truly, this month I have
learned to be thankful and grateful for my three little rockers and a super patient husband. We had a
really rough miscarriage this month, I say "we" because I pretty much think that Trent was ready to categorize me as a hormonal whack job and it was probably every bit as painful for him as it was for me, okay close. Needless to say, we made it through! And this Easter I am especially
thankful for my family, every crazy one of them!

We kicked off our Easter weekend with a egg hunt at Grandma Linda Loo's.

 We are grateful for Grandma
Linda stuffing a million eggs for these kiddies to track down.
A true act of service!

This is the first year we have EVER colored Easter eggs. What rotten parents!
Actually, nobody is big hard boiled egg fans in this house so we never
found it too necessary. But, it seems like it might be all the rage so we
went for it. I was wishing for a few Filipino helpers to come and have
a hard boiled egg feast...Darn you Trent! (Some things are hard to get over).

Since the Easter bunny was a little hormonal it made for some interesting Easter baskets this
year. It was more like "candy gone wild"! I thought Trent might have a mini
stroke (sugar = sticky in his  mind) but the Dude made it through. April is always
a special month because it marks the blessed wedding date! So even though
sugar can throw him for a small loop, I love this guy. I am so grateful for him and our
11 rad years of marriage.

Easter Morn...

To top it all off, we were able to have Linda for Easter dinner.
And, if that is not enough of a treat for you, than my annual
Easter  coconut cake should do the trick!
Love it & my cool friend Becky for sharing!

The Big 7

Darn! Is she not the cutest?
Inside and out, we LOVE Sydney!

New big girl bike, a little bit nervous
for this one.

We had a super party at Classic Skating, we should have called
it Classic Scooter since that's what was mostly going down. To many, this
place might seem like trailer park fun, and it is. The kids dig it, cousins, friends
even shady characters.
Party on Savage child!

What Sydney was most excited for...
Her American Girl Doll, I think she has asked for this
gem the past few birthdays/Christmas's. Syd is usually are calm
child (shocker I know). I loved watching her get giddy over this!

And cool Mrs. Ball, Syd's first grade teacher who
goes all out for birthdays!

A special part of Syd's birthday was having it over general conference
weekend. We had lots of good family time.  Sydney is our non-frosting
girl so every birthday cake is very exciting.

Sydney and Trent playing an intense game of conference bingo!

Sydney, Happy Seventh Birthday!
You are true joy and light to our family.

Best Tooth Fairy EVER

It wasn't a pretty morning...but we got her out.
I had to pull out one of my sly Chuck Norris moves to
make it all happen but sometimes that is what us Moms
have to do for our gangly toothed little children.
And it only took her a few minutes to forgive me.

The beauty...

And just in time for her 7th birthday bash!

At our house I am pretty sure our tooth fairy is a boy...
probably a good thing because sometimes those girl tooth fairy's
can be a bit flaky. And girl tooth fairy's would probably say this
when they got letters like below:
"Go fly a kite, here's your quarter!"
"May I have a lego house but a girl one."
But our boy tooth fairy goes the extra mile with
curly cue hand writing and extra cash...he should probably
know that lego houses are around $50!
Good job Syd and good job tooth fairy- your REALLY nice.
