I Remember....

I remember it was not too long ago that we were cruisn the 

streets of Manila with our kids tied into their car seats

with nothing more than a recycled piece of twine.

 It really bothered me...then.

But now I look back with fond memories of our first week in Manila.

I am pretty sure I lost 10 lbs in the first week just from the sweat. 

Now days, I am not sure if I can recall what "dry" feels like.

This is a picture of Tate during "Hell" week if you will....

11 months in and we have all adjusted well. Just in time to come

home and lap up the nice dry heat!

We had Trent's HR team over for a farewell dinner.

Trent has worked with P&G (Procter and Gamble) for 8 years.  

It has been a wonderful opportunity for the both

of us. 

Trent has learned a lot and been fortunate enough to meet and work with really good people. 

We have made some great friends along the way. (My gals in Cinci, I am so going to miss you.)

From Kansas,Ohio,Idaho,Ohio (again)....

The icing on the cake has been our Manila stay for sure!

Annabelle is my drivers wife, totally cute.

We have spent a lot of our afternoons at the Palms. A sweet club that the company hooked us up with. But you know what? 

This place has nothing on PG pool. (maybe a slight exaggeration)

And I can give up this cheesey pizza for

for Taco Amigo special any day of the week!

Palawan-This is it!

When people ask me my favorite place in the Philippines.....

This is it!

Our final destination in the Philippines, Palawan El Nido.

It was as beautiful as it looks and more.

These places make me question, "why we are leaving the Philippines?"

 It also makes me grateful for the amazing experiences we have had here.

(Note to family: No pressure, we are way excited for our Utah adventure :) 

 Our very little plane....It stressed me out, Trent has

permanent claw marks in his right thigh to prove it.

Happy 38th, definitely a year to remember!

Day two:

 We did some great morning dives

And topped it off with a picnic lunch on

  a private beach....

Day three:

We checked out this sister resort (Laguen) and had some 

 sweet, chill'n poolside time.

This day ended with near typhoon like conditions, rain, rain and more rain. 

We spent our afternoon

under a cabana. Chalk it up for good memories.

Trent asked for a side of bacon and 

this is what they brought him...

I immediately thought of my brother in-law, Beetle and how happy 

he would be.

We had an awesome trip.

It was the perfect place to end our stay in the Philippines!

 Day four....

 The shopping is so much fun in China, even 

Trent, who is not a shopper loved it. 

Every time Trent would make an offer, 

the Chinese would say..."Are you joking me?"

(But imagine it being said in your best Chinese voice).

I mostly loved his outfit.

One of the coolest things we came across

was this Chinese artist.

He did a little work for us,

I could have sat and watched him all day.

That says: "Savage Family"

No Asia trip is complete with out an elevator shot.

I could have done this every night. 

  A perfect way to end our day of shopping
and trip!

We were so happy to see these guys,

and they were so happy to see us.
