1,700 miles-need I say more?
For a total car time of 29 hours. Our kids were rock star travelers, with that said, I do not blame them if they scream,bite or kick the next time I try to buckle them into "the minnie" for a road trip! This of course, is a lengthy post but it is my shout out to UTAH. My sister in-law, who understands what it is like to live out of bags for weeks, told me that by next year I would be ready to come back and do it all again. She is right,though some parts of our trip were a little rough with the crew, I am all ready looking forward to our Summer 2010 vacay.
Surprise! Happy (belated) Birthday Utah Style, Trent concocted a surprise party for me from afar.
Trent had been planning this little shin dig for a few weeks. I love him for the thought, but in all fairness this cute little Momma had to pull it all together to make it happen. Thanks Mom-ba!

I love that I could tell my kids "only 20 hours left" and they would cheer. It is a beautiful thing when they do not know the difference between 1 and 29!

o.k., so i'm a little, o.k., A LOT T.O'ed that you didn't make it an even 33 1/2 hours by making it to Eagle...what's with that?!! Also, I didn'tr know my favorite person ever (outside of my immediate family, of course) was so close!! I would like to think that I could have made it down to see you, but with the way July was, that would be probably not. :( Maybe next time--let me know!! Your babies' chubby cheeks make me smile!! Happy belated Friend!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are home safe and sound. It was really good to chat with you and your sister pool side everyday for a couple of weeks. Your family is SO cute. Thanks for posting pics of Noah's Ark. I have been wondering if you liked it and what is was like. Maybe we will have to try it out. Hopefully you received no more tickets while you were here. You crack me up. Keep blogging and I hope you don't mind if I check in on your family every now and then.
