July 2017 ~Summer is awesome~ Havasupi Falls

Red neck swim pool was one of my favorite days of summer. Thanks Jo for the good times.
Nothing like cruising the roads of Alpine with a tarp thrown in the back of a truck filled with water.
No doubt the envy of the neighborhood... until Finny almost sloshed out of the side when we took a corner! No worries, all kids accounted for. We decided it would be better parked at the soccer fields!
A little collection of Summer here~ Horse rides, Fish Lake, playing at the pool and an EPIC trip to Havasu.
OH MY HECKING, HECK! WE LOVE SUMMER.

The kids didn't care that they didn't have swim suits or that the water was ice cold.

Havasupai Falls
This is the most amazing place and man, we had FUN.
A combination of Savages, Shoells, and our friends the Warrs.
We hiked, laughed, slept, ate, swam on repeat.
I am doing this trip again...no matter what.
Note to self:
Don't drive all night and than start hiking.
If you do send your stuff on a mule
take a small day bag because heaven only knows when those beasts will show up with your supplies.
Three days max.
Cash for navajo tacos.
Oh, and pack chafing cream.

SEEEEEEE! Amazing.  Ten mile hike in worth it.
and "Yay! ADVENTURE!"

We drove all night and started hiking with little sleep, lets just say that Momma wasn't functioning by mid day. Sydney girl was a champ and is begging for another trip.

How lucky to do this trip with my sisters?

Hike to Mooney Falls was the coolest of the cool.
Kind of a sketchy hike down but man oh man..amazing beauty.

We ended our trip by hiking out in a monsoon storm...it was scary and memorable.
