July 2017 ALASKA

Trent and I have put together a bucket list of places we would like to see over the next ten years.
It seemed right that we should start with Alaska, I had a cool wife/daughter in-law moment when I invited Linda Kay along. Im not sure how many women would let their mother in law motor home around the backwoods of Alaska with them for ten days but I can honestly say we had a GREAT time! I am sure it was much harder for her than it was for any of us.
We were grateful that her health was good enough that she could make the journey.
Alaska is beautiful, probably the prettiest place I have ever seen in my life. I hope our kids can remember this trip.
Anchorage-Talkeetna-Valdeze-Seward-Soldotna (and a few stops in between)

Denali

The plane ride to Denali was one of our favorite from our trip.
Pictures don't do it any justice. We had these cool little planes that had skis to land on snow, the glaciers were the most amazing colors.
We also went to the Iditarod trail head in Wasilla. Alaska is full of adventure.

Seward

We got to Seward and hiked Exit Glacier and took a ferry ride out to Fox Island.
We had a nice little crab lunch and then we got to go check out the wild life from the boat.
Lot's of whales, birds, sea lions, mountain goats..pretty much everything cool!

Sometimes the kids got sick of the RV and lots of crazy stuff went down.

When we arrived to Soldotna the boys fished the Kenai river, Trent landed a dandy King Salmon.
The girls watched movies and ate lots of ice cream.
I love this picture of Linda!

Alaska has a place in our hearts! We loved everything about it.
