Move over Ansel Adams...Okay, maybe not, we are just digging the
Fall splendor around here!
We took our kids up to Sundance and did an unplanned hike
to Stuart Falls (4 miles) round trip. Trent and I were
sharing in the proud parent moment for sure.
There is something about a nature walk that brings
out the "talky, talky".
I had a lot of good smiles on the trail.
Emmy told me about a little boy named "Axton"
in her class that has purple hair, beaver teeth
and walks around hitting everyone.

She also told me she was learning so much at school,
when I asked what? She said, "I am learning about gum, and doggies!"
When the trail got a little long she said,
"I really wish I had a hang glider".
(She is a smart cookie and has her Daddy's high endurance:)

Tate Took to the trail at a full on run, if you know Tate that is
VERY abnormal, especially because he did it in cowboy boots. Nature unleashed the boy in him, he told me he
needed to get to the waterfall so he could put
his head in the water and cool down.

All was going well until we had to start back for the car, he started saying things like,"I REALLY need a stroller."
and "OH, I wish I were in a wheel chair"...
this boy is mine, all mine.
Sydney aka Mother Hubbard! When Tate and Emmy started
whimpering about the hike back Sydney reminded
them of the "consequence of their choice; You guys chose to go ALL the way to the waterfall and now you are going to have to deal with the hike back." Thank you Syd, could not have said it better myself. Syd is slow and steady and very much a NON complainer.
She told me it was the best day of her life. WOW...easy to pleasy.
This has to be the best time of year!
Way to go Savage kiddies.
