Girls Trip 2013

 The Savage Girls trip came at a perfect time!

A trip to Carlsbad CA, a nice getaway from our temp housing

set up and the gray skies of Washington. We had our niece Sabrina come and watch the little people.

I was not a very good picture taker this trip but here are a few of our trip.

We took a trip out to Catalina Island! I fell in love,

maybe it was the break from being "Mommy" or just hanging out

with these terrific ladies. Very nice, Thanks Susan! Honestly one of my 

favorite trips of the year.

I am so starting to look prego here.

 I wish the only way to get around in life was on golf carts.

Way fun, especially when Lisa is the driver...I guess

it's in the Savage blood.

The next day we went to one of those really cool theaters were you sit

in a recliner and order from a menu. It was too comfy and we kept dozing 

off through the movie. What a fun few days, I am grateful for this little

break I get to reconnect with the Savage Sisters!

2 Weeks Celebration

 For our "We survived two weeks in Seattle" we took the kids on a ferry ride

to Banbridge Island...a bit cold for the first February. Maybe Tate was too numb

to realize his coat was on upside down.

When we got to the Island we went for a hot chocolate on

Main Street. Ballroom music was playing and their was a very "flamboyant" server 

spinning in circles and twirling around the place. Emmy said,

in her only volume  level- LOUD,"Is that a boy or a girl?" 

Welcome to Washington :)

 To end our big day we went to the Rainforest Cafe.

The kiddies were ecstatic.

 The hardest part of leaving Utah was saying our good byes to our

families. 

Tate and Max are best buddies, they decided to have one last hoora 

before parting ways. It consisted of a candy picnic in Tate's room.  Tate poured lik-a-maid in his slippers and they pounded down some candy hearts-YUM-O!

Man, I kind of miss this house.. I don't feel like

I get too attached as we have moved around but this

house had some fun features.

  

7 Big moves in 12 years! You better believe sugar cookies

are for breakfast. I never take too many pics of the move, usually 

it is too overwhelming. But this crew was especially memorable,

A family crew, what normally takes two days to pack the Savage house took them

four. The picture serves as a "note to self",don't use this crew in the future!

The night we left we got stuck in the Salt Lake Airport

for four hours because of a massive snow storm. 

We pounded down some serious coke beverages and peanuts

in the Delta lounge. I am proud of these little travelers!

It's always hard to put the kiddies in a new school, I get nervous 

for them. Tate makes me laugh, a few times I have heard him say in a loud

voice, "Hi my names Tate and I'm from Utah!"

And here it is, the beauty we have been waiting to move in 

to the past couple of months. And, so starts our adventure as 

the Seattle Savage's! 

The Beginning of Mega Post

Well we might as well start were we left off!

For Christmas the Savage kids gave Linda Loo a trip to

Vegas joined with all seven of her children and spouses

 (Vegas will never see crazier bunch!)

She was thrilled! What cute single Senior Citizen wouldn't be?

 I didn't do super well with taking pics but here are a few of the

motley crew!

We are officially settled in Washington if you can count living out of boxes
living. We moved in to our new home this past weekend...this Momma is TIRED.

To sum it up, Sydney wanted ANYTHING American Doll, Tate wanted ANYTHING  with a remote

and Emmy wanted ANYTHING cuddly. 

My favorite person to buy for is this guy because he is truly happy with anything.

 Socks, toothpaste...anything practical and pretty much boring. 

 I am completely opposite. The more frivolous the better. It took me a few years to realize
that not everyone appreciates ping pong tables and dart boards
(or at least when they are poor college students).

Thanks for being a gracious gift receiver Babe!

 We even got some more family time...

We gave my parents airline tickets to Seattle! 

Totally selfish :)

Christmas Eve

 Christmas Eve brought some good Utah snow this year!

I think I extra enjoyed it because I am not sure when we will get the 

pleasure of Christmas Eve, snow, and family again all at the same time. Or at least for a few years.

Trent is the best snow Dad EVER. He loves it.

So does our Syd :)

 And to start our Christmas Eve party, Uncle Trent took the kids sledding

behind the four wheeler. Yes!

I appreciate that Trent is our meat cutting man!
